MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541005984 A) filed by Snapkorp on January 24, 2025, for Large Monocoque Transportable Dwelling Units Using Graphene Composite.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composite material comprising functionalized Super Grade Graphene (1% volume), UV curable resin, S2 fiberglass, rigid polyurethane foam, UV-resistant pigments, electrical conduits, plumbing pipes, and a square tube steel frame. This novel composition offers superior mechanical strength, thermal insulation, and environmental durability. The graphene is uniformly dispersed in the matrix via sonication at 30 kHz, overcoming agglomeration issues and enhancing structural integrity. Rigid polyurethane foam provides exceptional thermal insulation, while UV-resistant pigments ensure long-term stability under environmental stress. Electrical conduits and plumbing pipes are seamlessly integrated into the composite during a hydraulic moulding process, forming a single- piece monocoque structure. The material is manufactured through a scalable process involving injection of the base mixture into a mould cavity at 7 bar pressure, ensuring uniform distribution. This multifunctional composite material is lightweight, durable, and ideal for applications in construction, transportation, aerospace, and marine industries.
