MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621097402 A) filed by Ashneer Kaur Pannu on August 12, 2026, for Laminitis Assessment System And Method For Assessing Laminitis For An Ungulate Animal.
Inventor includes Ashneer Kaur Pannu.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: LAMINITIS ASSESSMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING LAMINITIS FOR AN UNGULATE ANIMAL [115] Conventional laminitis monitoring approaches are isolated clinical examinations, resulting in delayed detection and inability to comprehensively assess factors associated with laminitis progression. Laminitis assessment system (100) includes hoof-mounted sensing module (10) having hoof temperature sensing element (10a), load sensing element (10b), and locomotion sensing element (10c), limb-mounted sensing module (20) having pulse sensing element (20a), a digital data acquisition module (30), an environmental monitoring module (40), a pathology data interface (50), a processing system (60), a memory (70), and a user interface (80). Processing system (60) receives physiological, digital data-derived, environmental, and pathology-derived data, evaluates multi-sensor telemetry by establishing multi-parametric physiological, visual, and environmental profiles. The system (100) dynamically cross-validates these profiles through a stored assessment model to determine real-time laminitis susceptibility, active detection, and disease progression stage outputs, which are transmitted to a user interface (80).
