MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617067619 A) filed by Rep Ip AG on May 29, 2026, for Label For Attaching To An Object.

Inventors include Ros, Nico; and Hrlimann, Luzian.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to a label (1) for attaching to an object, comprising a support layer (2), an adhesive layer (4), which is arranged on the support layer (2), for securing the label (1) to a surface of the object, a removable cover layer (5) which covers the adhesive layer (4), an electronic circuit (3), a temperature sensor (S2) and/or an acceleration sensor (S1), which is/are connected to the electronic circuit (3), for detecting temperature or acceleration measurement values, such as the ambient temperature and/or the surface temperature of the object for example, an antenna (A) which is connected to the electronic circuit (3), wherein the electronic circuit (3) has a transceiver module for transmitting data, such as the temperature and/or acceleration measurement values, for example, via the antenna (A), and a battery (B) for supplying energy to the electronic circuit (3). The label is characterized in that a capacitive sensor (SW) is provided which is connected to the electronic circuit (3) and is designed to detect capacitive changes upon adhering the label (1) to the object, the electronic circuit (3) has a wake-up circuit (C2) in order to switch the electronic circuit from an energy-saving mode to an operating mode, and the capacitive sensor (SW) interacts with the wake-up circuit (C2) such that the electronic circuit (3) is set to the operating mode when an adhesion of the label (1) onto the object is detected.
