Abstract: The knee prosthesis assembly (100) includes a tibial base plate (102), and a tibial liner (104) designed for secure interlocking. The tibial base plate (102) has a first mating surface (106), an inward peripheral surface (108), and a plurality of deformable tabs extending from the first mating surface (106). The tibial liner (104) features a protrusion with a second mating surface (118), an outward peripheral surface (120), and a plurality of slots (110A,110B). During assembly, the plurality of deformable tabs (110A, 110B) temporarily flexes outward to engage with the plurality of slots (122A, 122B) on the tibial liner (104), then return to their original position, creating a stable snap-fit connection.
