Abstract: A knee implant assembly (100) includes a tibial base plate (104) having a first mating surface (302), the first mating surface (302) comprising a plurality of protrusions extending from the first mating surface (302), and a tibial liner (102) having a second mating surface (202) configured to interface with first mating surface (302) of tibial base plate (104), the second mating surface (202) comprising a plurality of slots, wherein plurality of slots of the tibial liner 102 are configured to engage the plurality of protrusions of the tibial base plate (104) to secure the tibial base plate (104) with the tibial liner (102), and wherein at least one protrusion from the plurality of protrusions is configured to compress upon initial insertion into a corresponding slot from the plurality of slots and subsequently expand to create a press-fit connection between the tibial liner (102) and the tibial base plate (104).
