Abstract: ABSTRACT A kinetically interlocked container closure system (100) comprises a container body (102), a container neck (104), and a closure cap (106) housing a pressure-responsive bellows (108), an actuator rod (116), a normally closed needle valve (120), a catalytic treatment bed (130), and an overpressure indication assembly. The bellows (108) undergoes axial displacement in response to internal pressure and mechanically translates the actuator rod (116) to sequentially actuate the needle valve (120) and an indicator capsule (142). Opening of the needle valve (120) establishes a gas flow path through the catalytic treatment bed (130), comprising catalytic materials (132, 134, 136), and a vapor-permeable membrane (138) prior to discharge through an atmospheric exhaust port (140). Continued displacement of the actuator rod (116) mechanically ruptures the indicator capsule (142), releasing an indicator medium (144) into a viewing ring (148) visible through a viewing window (146). The closure assembly is mechanically interdependent and operates without electronic components or external power
