MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621090936 A) filed by Torchit Electronics Private Limited on July 27, 2026, for Jyoti Ai Ecosystem: Modular Ai-Powered Accessibility Apparatus, Universal Interchangeable Attachment System, And Method For Multi-Modal Document, Image And Environment Understanding For Visually Impaired, Low-Vision, Dyslexic And Print-Disabled Users.

Inventor includes Torchit Electronics Private Limited.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: A modular AI-powered accessibility apparatus and associated ecosystem are disclosed for converting printed, digital and real-world visual information into accessible multi-modal output for blind, low-vision, dyslexic and print-disabled users. A processing module incorporating an image sensor, microphone and processor is provided with a universal mechanical and electrical attachment interface enabling selective, reversible coupling to each of a wired, phone-powered spectacle accessory; a fully self-contained wireless spectacle accessory with head-orientation stabilisation; a lamp/stand-mounted reading accessory with page dewarping and field-of-view calibration for full-page capture; and a finger-worn ring accessory with pointing-gesture-guided capture, including contextual extraction of pharmaceutical label information. The module automatically detects the attached accessory and selects a corresponding phone-assisted or autonomous processing mode. An artificial- intelligence pipeline performs content classification, structure-aware OCR including a formula-parsing component that converts mathematical and scientific notation into a structured LaTeX/MathML representation for spatially-accurate narration, table-structural-matrix mapping for accessible cell navigation, vision-based scene and object description, currency and colour identification, and on-request explanation, summarisation, translation and tutoring via a language-model engine. An accessibility engine dynamically renders output according to blind, low-vision, or dyslexia/autism-friendly interface profiles across more than one hundred languages. A cross- platform cloud ecosystem maintains a universal, real-time synchronised session state across Android, iOS and web applications and all hardware accessories, and is offered in an individual edition and an institutional edition providing learning-management-system integration and automatic generation of accessible assessment material from the same processed content.
