The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: This invention relates to a computer-implemented system for determining patient readiness for transfer from an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a High Dependency Unit (HDU) & High Dependency Unit (HDU) to a Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using real-time clinical parameters. The system evaluates multiple physiological parameters including respiratory rate, heart rate, systolic blood pressure, temperature, and level of consciousness to derive a stability representation of the patient. A structured decision framework is employed to generate multi-state outputs including transfer-ready, non-transferable, and re-evaluation states. The invention further incorporates an explainable decision mechanism that identifies abnormal parameters and provides reasoning for the generated outcome. Additionally, the system includes an interactive chatbot interface for quick patient status queries and an automated report generation module for structured clinical documentation. The system may accept input through manual entry or integration with patient monitoring devices.By providing consistent, transparent, and data-driven recommendations, the invention improves clinical decision-making, reduces ICU overcrowding, and enhances patient safety while maintaining clinician authority.
