MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641106003 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences on September 03, 2026, for Iot Smart Charging Load Balancing System For Ev Charging Stations.

Inventors include Dr. M. Nagaraj; Dr. K. Ramkumar; Dr. V. Shiva Shankar; and Dr Ramya Mohan.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The smart charging load balancing system for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations that is based on the Internet of Things and is intended to optimize power distribution across numerous charging units is the subject of the present invention. In order to dynamically monitor and regulate charging loads, the system incorporates Internet of Things communication modules, smart energy meters, and cloud based management algorithms. In order to-divide-available electrical power -among connected electric vehicles in an effective manner, real-time data from charging stations is sent to a cloud platform, where clever load balancing algorithms are used. Through the implementation of this system, power overload is avoided, energy waste is minimized, and the efficiency of the charging infrastructure is enhanced. It is possible to integrate smart grids with the suggested approach, which also guarantees that charging operations at electric vehicle charging stations are both reliable and optimal.
