MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641080396 A) filed by Mohan Babu University on June 30, 2026, for Iot Integrated Temperature Adaptive Ac Dc Motor Control System For Industrial Welding And Grinding Applications.

Inventors include Dr. S. Ragu Nathan; Dr. S. M. Senthil; Dr. V. Balasubramanian; and Mr. B. Venketesh.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an IoT-integrated temperature-driven motor control system (100) for friction stir welding and grinding applications. The system comprises a microcontroller unit (101), a temperature sensing module (102), a motor speed regulation module (103), an AC motor (104), a cooling control module (105), a user interaction module (106), an IoT communication module (107), and a predictive thermal response module (108). The temperature sensing module continuously monitors motor temperature and transmits thermal data to the microcontroller unit. Based on sensed conditions, the controller dynamically regulates motor RPM through an AC dimmer module and activates a cooling fan through a relay arrangement. Operational parameters are displayed on a display interface and transmitted to a cloud platform through a NodeMCU communication module for remote monitoring. The predictive thermal response module estimates temperature rise trends and proactively reduces motor speed before critical overheating occurs. The invention improves operational safety, energy efficiency, remote supervision capability, and industrial equipment lifespan.
