Abstract: The present invention relates to IoT-enabled smart socks designed for continuous monitoring of gait dynamics and plantar pressure distribution. The system integrates multiple embedded sensors, including pressure sensors, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a temperature sensor, 5 within a textile-based wearable platform. These sensors collectively capture real-time data related to foot pressure patterns, .motion, dynamics,-orientation, and temperature variations during walking or running activities. The data is processed using an Arduino Nano 33 IoT microcontroller equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity. The processed information is transmitted wirelessly to cloud platforms or mobile applications for 10 further analysis. Advanced analytics and machine learning techniques are applied to evaluate gait abnormalities, detect uneven pressure distribution, and assess overall foot health. The proposed system enables continuous, non-invasive monitoring of users in real-world environments. It supports applications in healthcare, rehabilitation, and sports performance optimization by providing personalized feedback and early detection of foot-related disorders. 15 The integration of IoT technology with wearable sensors offers a cost-effective and scalable solution for real-time biomechanical assessment and remote health monitoring, improving diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.
