Abstract: ABSTRACT IOT-ENABLED SMART SAFETY HELMET SYSTEM WITH MULTI-HAZARD SENSING AND AUTOMATED EMERGENCY ALERT The present invention discloses an IoT-enabled smart safety helmet system (100) for construction worker safety monitoring. The system integrates a tri-axial accelerometer (120) for impact detection, an electrochemical gas sensor array (130) for toxic gas monitoring, an ambient temperature sensor (140) for heat stress assessment, a GPS module (150), and a communication module (170) within a helmet shell assembly (110) controlled by a microcontroller (160). The microcontroller executes a two-level alert protocol: upon hazard detection, a check-in vibration alert is sent to a wrist-worn check-in device (180); if unacknowledged within a configurable timeout, a full emergency alert with GPS coordinates, hazard type, and sensor readings is dispatched to site supervisors via a cloud safety management platform (190). All events are logged for regulatory compliance. The invention integrates diverse sensing modalities in the helmet form factor eliminating the adoption barrier of additional wearable devices. [
