Abstract: IoT-Enabled Smart Retail Payment and Energy-Efficient Engineering Infrastructure System Abstract: The current invention relates to an integrated system for smart retail payment processing and energy-efficient engineering infrastructure management that is enabled by the Internet of Things (IoT). Within a single platform, the system integrates energy optimisation, IoT sensing, artificial intelligence analytics, real-time monitoring, secure electronic payment processing, and automated engineering equipment control. The system gathers data from IoT sensors, smart metres, environmental sensors, equipment controllers, and electrical infrastructure in addition to transaction data from point-of-sale terminals, mobile devices, online retail systems, and payment gateways. In order to determine operational circumstances, payment events, energy consumption patterns, equipment state, occupancy conditions, and demand changes, an intelligent processing engine examines the data it receives. In addition to monitoring energy-consuming infrastructure like lighting, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, motors, pumps, chargers, and other engineering equipment, the system may safely authorise or start payment processes. The system can automatically modify some equipment operating settings based on predefined rules, anticipated demand, occupancy, ambient conditions, and energy-use patterns, or it can create energy-saving recommendations based on historical and real-time data. Through a centralised interface, the platform can also manage energy warnings, failure notifications, equipment operation, electronic receipts, payment confirmation, and reporting. By comparing anticipated energy consumption and equipment behaviour with actual measurements, continuous learning may be put into practice, enhancing control decisions in the future. The invention offers an integrated architecture for smart energy management, IoT-based monitoring, safe retail transactions, and effective engineering infrastructure operation.
