Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an IoT-enabled wearable smart footwear device for real time therapeutic gait correction in children with spastic cerebral palsy. The system comprises plantar pressure sensors positioned at the heel, midfoot, and toe regions for continuously monitoring foot-ground contact and pressure distribution during walking. An embedded microcontroller processes the sensor data to identify gait phase progression and determine whether a proper heel-to-toe walking pattern is followed. Upon detection of abnormal gait patterns such as toe walking or improper heel strike, a feedback control module activates immediate auditory and visual alerts using buzzers and LEDs to guide corrective movement. A wireless communication module transmits therapy session data to a mobile application for remote monitoring, progress visualization, and long-term rehabilitation assessment by caregivers and therapists. The invention enables continuous, home-based, cost-effective, and child-friendly gait rehabilitation with reduced clinical dependency.
