Inventor includes Dr. R. Sumathi.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: IoT-Enabled Smart ECG Monitoring and Remote Cardiac Alert System ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an IoT-enabled smart ECG monitoring and remote cardiac alert system (100) and corresponding method for continuous or remote monitoring of cardiac electrical activity. The system comprises an ECG electrode interface (102), a multi-stage signal conditioning circuit (103), an analog-to-digital converter (104), a microcontroller (105), wireless communication modules (106a, 106b), a mobile application (107), a cloud platform (108), an alert/notification system (109), and a rechargeable power supply module (110). The signal conditioning circuit (103) includes an instrumentation amplifier gain stage (103a), 0.5 Hz high-pass filter (103b), 40 Hz low-pass filter (103c), fourth-order RC-coupled low-pass filter (103d), 50 Hz notch filter (103e), and buffer/output amplifier (103f). The microcontroller (105) processes digitized ECG signals to calculate heart rate and detect rhythm abnormalities, while the wireless communication module (106) enables remote transmission for real-time visualization, cloud storage, trend analysis and automated notification. The system facilitates portable and remote cardiac monitoring. Figure-1
