Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an IoT-enabled smart classroom system for automatically monitoring and controlling classroom operations. The system comprises classroom sensing devices including an occupancy sensor, an environmental sensor, an identity detection device, and optionally an equipment usage sensor. An edge controller receives real-time sensor data and correlates occupancy data, environmental data, and identity data to determine a classroom operating state. Attendance is validated based on correlation between detected identity and physical presence within a predefined time window. A communication gateway transmits sensor data to a cloud server having a cloud-based processing module and database. An actuator control module automatically controls classroom electrical loads including lights, fans, air-conditioning units, projectors, and smart boards based on occupancy and environmental conditions. The system reduces false attendance marking, minimizes unnecessary power consumption, maintains classroom comfort conditions, and enables real-time dashboard monitoring and abnormal condition alerts for teachers and administrators.
