Abstract: The present invention discloses an IoT-Enabled Smart Battery Thermal Safety and Monitoring System for Electric Vehicles designed to provide continuous battery condition monitoring, thermal management, remote supervision, and automatic safety protection. The system comprises an electric vehicle battery pack provided with multiple sensing elements for monitoring parameters including temperature, voltage, current, state of charge, state of health, and conditions indicative of battery abnormalities. Sensor information is supplied to an IoT-enabled controller configured to perform data acquisition, processing, condition assessment, and identification of normal, warning, and critical operating states. A communication module transmits selected battery parameters, operating information, and fault notifications to a cloud platform, mobile application, web dashboard, or other remote monitoring interface. The system further includes a thermal management arrangement comprising one or more cooling fans, liquid cooling components, heat dissipation elements, or controlled air circulation mechanisms. Upon detection of an abnormal temperature condition, the controller automatically regulates the thermal management arrangement to maintain the battery within a desired operating range. When a critical thermal or electrical condition is identified, protective actions including charge/discharge regulation, battery-module isolation, electrical circuit interruption, enhanced cooling, and emergency shutdown may be initiated. The system continuously monitors battery parameters following each control action, thereby providing closed-loop thermal safety management. Historical battery information may further support battery health assessment, fault analysis, and preventive maintenance. The proposed integrated IoT-based arrangement therefore improves real-time battery visibility, thermal stability, operational reliability, fault response, battery service life, and overall safety of electric vehicles.
