MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641096212 A) filed by Dayananda Sagar Academy Of Technology And Management; and Dr. Sripan C on August 09, 2026, for Iot-Enabled Semiconductor Device For Real-Time Environmental Monitoring.
Inventors include Dayananda Sagar Academy Of Technology And Management; and Dr. Sripan C.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to an IoT-enabled semiconductor device for real-time environmental monitoring. The device comprises a semiconductor sensor array, signal- conditioning circuit, analog-to-digital converter, edge-processing unit, wireless communication module and power-management module. The semiconductor sensors generate electrical responses corresponding to environmental parameters. The edge processor performs calibration, compensation, sensor fusion, adaptive sampling and event detection before transmitting relevant information to a remote IoT platform. Adaptive sampling reduces unnecessary sensing and wireless communication during stable environmental conditions while enabling increased monitoring during detected changes. The device may operate using battery power, external power or energy harvesting and may include local alerts and self-diagnostic functions. The architecture is suitable for distributed monitoring in smart buildings, agriculture, industrial facilities, laboratories, warehouses and smart-city environments.
