Abstract: The present invention relates to a continuous monitoring of civil structures including buildings, bridges, flyovers, retaining walls and dams. The system integrates a plurality of sensor nodes comprising MEMS accelerometers, tilt sensors, strain sensors, crack-width sensors, temperature and humidity sensors, water/seepage sensors and optional load sensors. The sensor nodes acquire structural parameters and transmit the measured data through wireless communication to an IoT gateway. Edge- based processing is performed for sensor calibration, noise filtering, feature extraction, vibration analysis and frequency-domain analysis. An artificial intelligence engine performs multi-sensor data fusion, anomaly detection and predictive analysis using machine learning and/or deep learning models to determine structural deterioration trends. The system generates a Structural Health Index, anomaly score, damage probability, risk level and critical location information, and provides maintenance recommendations. A digital twin-based dashboard visually represents the monitored structure, sensor locations, real-time measurements and predicted damage zones. The invention enables continuous, intelligent and predictive structural assessment, facilitating early warning and timely maintenance while reducing dependence on periodic manual inspection.
