MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641082791 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences on July 06, 2026, for Iot-Enabled Inddor Air Quality Management System For Real-Time Monitoring Of Co2, Co, no2, Temperature And Humidity In Highly Crowd Places.

Inventors include M. Deepak Someswar; Dr Balamurugan; and Dr Ramya Mohan.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The loT-Enabled Indoor Air Quality Management System is designed to provide real-time monitoring of critical indoor air parameters such as CO2, CO, NO2, temperature, and humidity, especiaily~ih highly crowded indoor spaces. Poor ventilation and increased hurnah occu^ncy* can rapidly degrade air quality, leading to discomfort and health risks. This system ensures continuous tracking to maintain a safer environment. The device uses a combination of precise gas sensors and digital climate sensors to measure pollutant concentrations and environmental conditions. These values are processed using a microcontroller, which further communicates data through an loT module. The readings are transmitted to a cloud platform, allowing users to view real-time air quality trends through a mobile application or web dashboard. To ensure timely action, the system includes alert mechanisms such as alarms, notifications, or indicator lights whenever air quality levels exceed permissible limits. These alerts help building managers, administrators, and occupants take immediate steps like improving ventilation or adjusting HVAC settings. The automation capability ensures fast response without requiring constant human supervision. This loT-based solution is compact, energy-efficient, and scalable, making it suitable for malls, hospitals, classrooms, offices, auditoriums, and other densely populated indoor areas. By enabling continuous air-quality monitoring, the system supports healthier indoor environments, enhances comfort, and promotes proactive management of air pollution in confined spaces
