MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641114387 A) filed by Vallurupalli Nageswara Rao Vignana Jyothi Institute Of Engineering And Technology on September 24, 2026, for Iot-Enabled Hybrid Thermal Management System For Enhanced Cooling And Safety Of Lithium-Ion Batteries.

Inventor includes Dr. G. V Subash.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT [0015] This invention proposes an IoT-enabled hybrid Battery Thermal Management System (BTMS) that integrates a Peltier module with a liquid cooling loop. The system uses IoT-based sensors and connectivity to gather operating data, track battery temperature in real time, and facilitate predictive cooling operation control. The hybrid setup combines the high heat removal capacity of liquid circulation with the quick response of thermoelectric cooling. In order to examine thermal uniformity, response time, and energy consumption under varied operating conditions, the study will concentrate on system design, modeling, IoT-based data collection, and experimental validation. Performance metrics will be assessed and contrasted with independent cooling techniques, including battery temperature distribution, cooling efficiency, and data-driven predictive control accuracy. A more dependable, energy-efficient, and intelligent BTMS with improved temperature control, remote monitoring capabilities, and increased safety and longevity of high-power lithium-ion batteries is the anticipated result.
