MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641105995 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences on September 03, 2026, for Iot Enable Aerodynamic Cooling Duct Design System For Electric Vehicle Powertrains.
Inventors include Dr. M. Nagaraj; Dr. K. Ramkumar; and Dr. V. Shiva Shankar.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The present invention is about an IoT-enabled aerodynamic cooling duct system that is designed for electric vehicle (EV) powertrains. The system uses smart sensors, airflow monitoring modules, and adaptive duct control mechanisms to improve the thermal management of EV motors, inverters, and battery systems. A cloud-based platform collects and analyzes real-time environmental and thermal data to control airflow through specially designed aerodynamic ducts in real time. This new technology makes cooling more efficient, boosts the performance of the powertrain, lowers the possibility of overheating, and extends the life of electric vehicle parts.
