Abstract: An AI-based dental-hygiene tracking system is disclosed for monitoring and evaluating brushing behaviour using sensing, embedded processing, wireless communication and artificial intelligence. The system comprises a dental-hygiene implement having sensing elements including an inertial measurement unit, force sensor and vibration sensor, an embedded processor, local memory, a wireless communication module, a power source, a user computing device and an AI-based behaviour-scoring engine. The embedded processor detects brushing sessions and extracts parameters including brushing duration, frequency, movement characteristics, applied force, excessive-force events, movement consistency and estimated brushing-zone coverage. The extracted features are transmitted to the AI-based behaviour- scoring engine, which generates a behaviour score and compares current brushing behaviour with a personalized historical baseline. The system identifies behavioural deviations and provides personalized feedback, alerts, trends and recommendations through the user computing device, thereby enabling data-driven monitoring and improvement of dental-hygiene behaviour.
