MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641113713 A) filed by R. M. D. Engineering College on September 23, 2026, for Iot-Connected Smart Therapeutic Clothing With Cloud Computing For Remote Healthcare.
Inventor includes Dr. D. Rukmani.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides an IoT-connected smart therapeutic clothing system for continuous physiological monitoring, remote healthcare supervision, and controlled therapeutic support. The system integrates a wearable garment with physiological sensors, a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B processing unit, LoRa SX1278 wireless communication, therapeutic elements, and cloud computing connectivity. The sensing arrangement includes a DS18B20 temperature sensor, Polar H7 heart-rate monitor, AD8232 ECG sensor, MPU-6050 accelerometer and gyroscope, and FreeStyle Libre continuous glucose monitoring system. Acquired physiological and motion-related parameters are processed by the central processing unit and transmitted through the LoRa communication module to a remote gateway and cloud platform. The cloud platform provides data storage, visualization, historical record management, threshold monitoring, and alert generation for authorized healthcare access. Integrated therapeutic elements provide controlled heating, cooling, vibration, compression, or electrical stimulation according to predefined therapeutic parameters. The invention supports remote patient monitoring, rehabilitation, elderly care, chronic-condition management, post-treatment observation, and home-based healthcare applications through an integrated wearable platform.
