Abstract: An IoT-based solar performance dashboard system is disclosed for real-time monitoring, financial-savings estimation, and sustainability-metric computation of one or more solar photovoltaic (PV) installations. The system comprises a plurality of IoT sensor nodes coupled to PV panels, inverters, energy meters, and environmental sensors, configured to acquire real-time operational data including DC/AC voltage, current, power, energy yield, panel temperature, and solar irradiance. A gateway or embedded microcontroller preprocesses the acquired data and transmits it over a communication network to a backend server. The backend server stores the data in a database, computes technical performance indicators such as energy generation, system efficiency, and performance ratio, and further calculates real-time and cumulative financial savings by comparing PV-generated energy against local electricity tariffs and user-defined consumption profiles. The backend also computes sustainability metrics including avoided greenhouse gas emissions, equivalent fossil-fuel displacement, and related environmental-impact indicators. A web and/or mobile dashboard interface retrieves and visually presents the technical performance indicators, financial savings, and sustainability metrics in real time through interactive charts, summary widgets, and alert panels, thereby enabling comprehensive, multi-site monitoring and management of solar PV performance, economic returns, and sustainability impact.
