Abstract: The present invention relates to an Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart water quality monitoring and automated pump control system for real-time monitoring and intelligent management of water resources. The system comprises a plurality of water-quality sensors, a water-level sensing unit, a microcontroller-based processing unit, an IoT communication module, a pump-control unit, a water pump, and a remote monitoring platform. The water-quality sensors measure parameters including pH, turbidity, temperature, total dissolved solids, electrical conductivity, and other selectable water-quality parameters. The processing unit receives, filters, calibrates, and analyzes the sensor measurements and compares the processed values with predefined threshold conditions. Based on the water-quality status and water-level condition, the processing unit automatically generates a control signal for activating or deactivating the water pump. The IoT communication module transmits real- time measurements, pump status, and abnormal-condition information to a remote cloud platform for monitoring and historical data analysis. An alert mechanism generates notifications when water quality exceeds predetermined limits, water level becomes unsuitable, or sensor and pump faults are detected. The invention reduces manual intervention, prevents pumping under undesirable water conditions, improves water-management efficiency, and provides a scalable solution for domestic, agricultural, industrial, aquaculture, and remote water-monitoring applications.
