MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611075772 A) filed by Gla University, Mathura on June 18, 2026, for Iot Based Smart Solar Thermal Monitoring System.

Inventor includes Vishnu Dev.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an IoT Based Smart Solar Thermal Monitoring System for intelligent monitoring and remote supervision of solar thermal installations. The system comprises a solar collector (100), inlet temperature sensor (101), outlet temperature sensor (102), flow sensor (103), thermal storage tank (104), storage tank temperature sensor (105), microcontroller and data processing unit (106), wireless IoT module (108), cloud server (109), monitoring dashboard (110), and real-time visualization and alert interface (111). The microcontroller and data processing unit (106), comprising an ESP32 microcontroller (112), acquires temperature and flow rate data from K-type thermocouples (114) and the flow sensor (103), processes thermal performance parameters, and transmits operational data to the cloud server (109) through the wireless IoT module (108). The invention enables cloud-based monitoring, thermal analysis, fault detection, predictive maintenance, and real-time alert generation for solar thermal energy systems.
