Abstract: The IoT-Based Smart Shopping Cart integrates RFID, NodeMCU and IoT technologies to transform the retail shopping experience. The system incorporates an automated billing mechanism, where RFID readers embedded in the cart detect RFID-tagged products in real-time. This eliminates the necessity for manual barcode scanning and significantly minimizes checkout times. Furthermore, the cart features a shop map layout, accessible via a QR code a WEBAPP interface, which provides shoppers with a digital map of the store. This map highlights the precise locations of items, facilitating efficient navigation and reducing the time spent searching for products. The system offers multiple advantages, such as reduced manual effort, enhanced operational efficiency for retailers, and a seamless, user-centric shopping experience. By utilizing RFID for product identification, NodeMCU for system control, and IoT for centralized communication and real-time updates, this solution demonstrates the potential of modern technology to streamline retail operations and improve customer satisfaction.
