MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621042870 A) filed by Prof Arjun Dixit; Prof Arpit Deo; Prof Ashish Kumar Kumawat; and Ms. Priyasha Gupta on April 03, 2026, for Iot Based Predictive Maintenance System And Method For Industrial Equipment.
Inventors include Prof Arjun Dixit; Prof Arpit Deo; Prof Ashish Kumar Kumawat; and Ms. Priyasha Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: An IoT-based predictive maintenance system and method for industrial equipment are disclosed. The system includes sensor nodes attached to equipment for acquiring multi-parameter data (vibration, temperature, pressure, current), edge gateways for local preprocessing, anomaly detection, and data compression, and a cloud/on- premise analytics platform for fusing data, applying machine learning models to predict remaining useful life (RUL) and failure risks, and generating prioritized maintenance recommendations. A maintenance management module automatically creates work orders in CMMS/ERP systems with feedback loops for model refinement. The method reduces downtime by enabling condition-based maintenance across heterogeneous assets through hybrid edge-cloud processing.
