Abstract: Title: IOT BASED INTELLIGENT RAILWAY SAFETY SYSTEM FOR CRACK DETECTION AND COLLISION AVOIDANCE 5 The titled invention discloses an loT-based intelligent railway safety system comprising a multi-sensor monitoring unit (1), a data processing unit (2), a nnicrocontroller unit (3), a Logistic Regression prediction unit (4), an LPWAN communication unit (5), a cloud storage and monitoring platform (6), a GPS location tracking unit (7), an alert and train control unit (8), a user monitoring interface (9)-, and 10 a power supply unit (10). The multi-sensor monitoring unit (1) continuously acquires railway track information, which is preprocessed by the data processing unit (2) and analyzed by the Logistic Regression prediction unit (4) to classify railway track conditions. The processed information is transmitted through the LPWAN communication unit (5) to the cloud storage and monitoring platform (6) for remote 15 monitoring and predictive maintenance. The GPS location tracking unit (7) identifies fault locations, while the alert and train control unit (8) automatically generates warning notifications and train control actions whenever unsafe conditions are detected. The invention provides an intelligent, reliable, and automated railway safety system for real-time crack detection, obstacle detection, collision avoidance, and enhanced 20 railway infrastructure management.
