The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an IoT-based intelligent multi-parameter patient monitoring and alert system, designated I-MAPRA, comprising a physiological sensor unit, an edge processing unit, an intelligent risk assessment unit, an IoT communication unit, a remote monitoring unit and an alert and user interface unit. The edge processing unit validates and pre-processes the acquired physiological measurements and associates a reliability indication with each measurement. The intelligent risk assessment unit establishes a patient-specific physiological baseline from validated measurements, determines deviations therefrom, combines deviation information from a plurality of parameters, evaluates temporal variation, and generates an adaptive patient risk condition which is mapped to a configurable category for generation of a correspondingly prioritised notification. Subsequently acquired validated measurements update the baseline, unreliable, corrupted, missing and artifact-affected measurements being excluded. The arrangement is applicable to continuous or periodic patient monitoring in hospital, clinical, assisted-care and domestic environments.
