Abstract: The present invention concerns an Internet of Things (IoT)-Based Intelligent Hybrid Anemia Monitoring and Severity Assessment System (HI-MASS), which is a novel approach to develop an innovative tool that offers a non-invasive, real-time, and economic method for the early detection and continuous monitoring of anemia. This system utilizes wearable physiological sensors, embedded systems, wireless communication, cloud computing, and machine learning algorithms in order to implement intelligent health care monitoring without having any invasive blood sampling. The suggested system constantly collects various physiological parameters, such as body temperature, heart rate (BPM), and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), using wearable sensors and sends them to the cloud server via wireless communication technologies. These physiological parameters go through the process of pre-processing, which includes noise removal, normalization, and feature extraction, prior to their analysis using intelligent machine learning algorithms, capable of recognizing anemia patterns in physiological parameters. With regard to the identified parameters, the system will give the probability of anemia and categorize the status of the patient into different degrees of severity, such as normal, mild, moderate, and severe. The outcomes of the predictions will be delivered to the users via a user-friendly interface that can either be web-based or mobile. In case any abnormal physiological statuses or risks of severe anemia are detected, the system will automatically send out alerts to the concerned persons.
