MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621092287 A) filed by Symbiosis International Deemed University on July 29, 2026, for Iot-Based Indoor Air Quality Monitoring System With Cloud-Integrated Dashboard.
Inventors include Prof. Riddhi Doshi; Aryan Agrawal; and Vaishnavi Kumbalkar.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT IOT-BASED INDOOR AIR QUALITY MONITORING SYSTEM WITH CLOUD-INTEGRATED DASHBOARD The present invention discloses an IoT-based indoor air quality monitoring system (100) comprising a sensor module (110) with a PMS5003 particulate matter sensor (112) measuring PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10 concentrations, an MQ135 gas sensor (114) detecting indoor gas trends and smoke, and DHT11 temperature and humidity sensors (116). An ESP32 microcontroller based processing module (120) reads sensor data, computes Air Quality Index values using piecewise linear interpolation, drives an OLED display module (130) for local visualization, and activates a buzzer based alert module (140) upon threshold exceedance. Processed data is transmitted via Wi-Fi through a communication module (150) to a ThingSpeak cloud storage module (160). A web dashboard module (170) hosted on GitHub Pages retrieves cloud data through APIs and renders real-time readings, AQI values, trend charts, pollution alerts, and health advisories accessible from any internet-connected device.
