MUMBAI, India, Aug. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641097203 A) filed by Anurag University on August 12, 2026, for Iot Based Fall Detection And Health Monitoring System.

Inventors include Dr. G. Balram; and Kotha Adarsh Yadav.

The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an IoT-based fall detection and health monitoring system (100) for continuous monitoring of body movement, physiological parameters, and environmental conditions to accurately identify emergency situations. The system (100) comprises an embedded processing module (101), a motion sensing module (102), a physiological sensing module (103), an environmental sensing module (104), a wireless communication module (105), a location tracking module (106), an image acquisition module (107), and an alert generation module (108). The embedded processing module (101) performs multi- sensor data fusion and adaptive event classification to distinguish normal activities from fall events and abnormal physiological conditions. Upon confirmation of an emergency, the system automatically acquires location information, transmits alert notifications through the wireless communication module (105), and optionally captures visual information using the image acquisition module (107), thereby improving detection accuracy, minimizing false alarms, and enabling rapid emergency response.
