Abstract: The traditional methods of detecting earth leakage in electrical systems rely on manual inspection and basic protective devices, which are time-consuming, less accurate, and lack real time monitoring and proper tracking. To overcome these limitations, this project proposes the development of an IoT Based Earth Leakage Monitoring System - a smart and automated solution for monitoring electrical safety. In this system, sensors are used to measure leakage current in electrical circuits and send the data to a microcontroller for processing. The system is connected to the internet, allowing users to monitor leakage status remotely through a web or mobile application. When the leakage current exceeds the safe limit, the system automatically sends alerts to users or maintenance staff for immediate action. The collected data is securely stored in a cloud database for analysis and tracking. The backend is designed using Supabase for secure authentication and real-time data handling, while the frontend is developed using Loveable.ai for a user-friendly interface. This system reduces manual effort, improves safety, enhances fault detection, and maintains accurate records in an efficient and organized manner.
