Abstract: The present invention relates to an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automated parking allocation and indoor vehicle routing system configured to provide intelligent parking management through real-time occupancy detection, vehicle authentication, automated parking allocation, indoor navigation, digital payment processing, and centralized monitoring. The system comprises occupancy sensors, an ESP32 controller, an ESP32-CAM module for Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), wireless communication modules, servo-controlled access barriers, cloud connectivity, and an electronic payment module. Initially, the system captures the vehicle registration number and verifies the vehicle before granting entry into the parking facility. Real-time occupancy information collected from parking slot sensors is processed to identify available parking spaces and automatically allocate the most suitable slot to the incoming vehicle. The system further provides optimized indoor navigation, continuously monitors parking occupancy, calculates parking charges based on parking duration, and enables secure digital payment through QR code or Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Upon successful payment, the controller authorizes vehicle exit and updates the parking database in real time. The modular architecture supports integration with smart city infrastructure, electric vehicle charging stations, surveillance systems, reservation platforms, and future intelligent transportation technologies. The invention provides a reliable, scalable, secure, and cost-effective parking management solution that improves parking efficiency, optimizes space utilization, reduces traffic congestion, and enhances overall user convenience.
