MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641082182 A) filed by S. D. Sathishkumar on July 03, 2026, for Iot Based Air Quality Monitoring And Alert System Using Mq135 Gas Sensor And Micro Controller.
Inventor includes S. D. Sathishkumar.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: An IoT based air quality monitoring and alert system is disclosed. The system includes a gas sensing module, preferably an MQ135 sensor, connected to a microcontroller unit such as an Arduino UNO. The microcontroller samples the sensor output, computes an air quality value, compares the value with a preset threshold, displays the measured value and corresponding air quality status on a local display, and activates a buzzer or LED when the threshold is exceeded. The system may further include a wireless communication module, such as an ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, to transmit readings and alert status to a cloud server, mobile application or computer dashboard. The system is compact, economical, portable and suitable for monitoring air quality in public places, hospitals, schools, industrial spaces and smart-city applications.
