Abstract: The invention describes a wireless salt-level sensor designed for installation on a water softener tank to continuously monitor the amount of salt available. The system uses a laser or ultrasonic distance sensor to accurately measure the salt level without direct contact. The collected data is transmitted through a Wi-Fi communication module to a smartphone application, allowing users to remotely monitor the salt level in real time. The system generates notifications when the salt level falls below a 15 predefined threshold, enabling timely refilling and preventing interruption in the water softening process. The invention is designed as a low-cost, easy-to-install, and user-friendly solution that improves maintenance efficiency and reduces manual inspection. Additionally, the system supports cloud-based data storage for maintaining historical salt-level records and usage patterns. It enables users to monitor multiple water softener units through a single mobile application. The wireless 20 communication ensures continuous data synchronization and remote accessibility. The modular design allows quick installation without significant modification to existing water softener systems. The system comprises a corrosion-resistant conductivity sensor configured to continuously measure brine salinity, along with temperature and water-level sensors for monitoring environmental parameters influencing evaporation and crystallization. An ESP32-based control unit acquires and processes the sensor data, compares measured values with predefined threshold limits, and determines optimum conditions for salt harvesting.
