S on August 07, 2026, for Investigating The Persistance Of Stress Induced Adaptive Traits In Dormant Bacillus Spores After Rev.
Inventors include Eniya Oviya S; Saishrada S; Sanjjana A M; Steffiey R; and Dr. Hari Lakshmi. S.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The current invention deals with a process of exploring whether dormant endospores of the Bacillus sub/his contain biological information derived from the stresses which the bacteria have been exposed to prior to sporulation. In the process, different kinds of stresses including heat, salinity, oxidative, starvation, and antibiotic stresses are explored for their impacts on the bacterial cells prior to sporulation. Post dormancy and germination, the physiological and phenotypic features of the germinated cells are compared with those of controls that have not been subjected to any stress in order to find whether pre-sporulation stress affects the post- germination physiology.
