Abstract: A video coding device (e.g., an encoder or a decoder) may obtain a current video block and determine a neighboring video block that may be coded in an intra-block copy (IBC) mode or an intra template matching prediction (IntraTMP) mode. The coding device may add one or more block vectors (BVs) associated with the neighboring video block to a merge candidate list. If the neighboring video block is coded a bi-prediction IBC mode, two BVs respectively associated with two prediction directions may be added to the merger candidate list, and if the neighboring video block is coded in the IntraTMP mode and a non-zero-indexed BV is used for the neighboring video block, a zero-indexed BV associated with the neighboring video block may be added to the merge candidate list. The coding device may code (e.g., encode or decode) the current video block based on the merge candidate list.
