Abstract: UNIVERSAL ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING INTERFACE WITH AUTOMATED RESISTANCE CALIBRATION FOR MULTI-MANUFACTURER 5 INTEROPERABILITY The present invention provides a universal power transfer system (100) for an electric vehicle (EV) (602) comprising a communication interface (104), a variable resistance module (102), and a microcontroller 106. The communication interface (104) electrically couples with the Proximity Pilot (PP) line (110) and Control Pilot (CP) line (112) of an EV- 10 side connector. The microcontroller 106 is configured to detect a vehicle configuration profile of the EV (602), which includes a specific impedance requirement. To initiate a power transfer session with a connected load (114), the microcontroller 106 dynamically adjusts the resistance value of the variable resistance module (102) utilizing either fixed resistors (204a - 204n) or a programmable resistive element to match the detected impedance. This 15 adjustment simulates a manufacturer-specific handshake protocol, enabling universal interoperability by bypassing proprietary brand locks. FIG. 1
