Abstract: As blockchain technology gains prominence, organizations are increasingly adopting different platforms to meet their specific needs. Hyperledger Fabric (HLF), a private blockchain, is widely used for its security and privacy features, while Hedera Hashgraph is a public ledger recognized for its speed and low costs. This project focused on learning and implementing Hyperledger Fabric as a foundational step toward building solutions that can connect multiple blockchain platforms. I successfully installed and configured Hyperledger Fabric on Ubuntu using Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). The setup involved installing essential tools like Docker and Docker Compose, as well as Fabric-specific tools and sample applications. To gain hands-on experience, I created a test network with multiple organizations and peers. I then deployed a simple chaincode to manage assets, initialized the ledger with sample data, and performed basic transactions such as adding and querying assets. Through this process, I gained practical knowledge of how a blockchain network operates. I learned about its key components, including client applications, certificate authorities, peers, orderers, chaincode, channels, and ledgers. This foundational understanding is crucial for my future work in building secure and efficient systems for transferring assets and data between different blockchains. The ultimate goal of this project is to establish a robust framework for developing decentralized applications that ensure privacy, security, and trust across various networks.
