Abstract: INTERNAL BREATHER VALVE FOR A SPRING BRAKE ACTUATOR OF A VEHICLE An internal breather valve (100) for a spring brake actuator (200) is disclosed. The internal breather valve comprises a main body (110) being adapted to be fit into an end portion of a stem (210) of a ram assembly (220) of the spring brake actuator. The main body (110) is defined with a recess (120) and at least one fluid channel (130) fluidly connecting the recess and a service brake cylinder (250). There is a piston (140) movably disposed in the recess and defined with at least one vent (145) in fluid communication with the fluid channel. The internal breather valve further includes a cap member (150) externally connected with the main body around the recess (120) and a resilient member (160) linking the piston (140) and the cap member. The internal breather valve (100) is designed such that individual parts are serviceable, assembly is simple and design is economical. Fig. 2a is a representative figure.
