Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an interlock assembly (100) for controlling operation of a vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) and a disconnect switch (DS), the assembly includes a close/trip indicator (102) accommodated on the VCB for displaying operational status of the VCB. An interlock operating rod (104) linked to the close/trip indicator (102), the interlock operating rod (104) prevents access to the DS when the VCB is in ON condition and allows access when the VCB is in OFF condition. A DS shutter (108) with a knob operably linked to the interlock operating rod (104), the DS shutter is accessible when the VCB is in the OFF condition and a blocking plate (106) coupled to the close/trip indicator (102), the blocking plate (106) prevents ON button of the VCB from being activated when the DS is being operated.
