Abstract: ABSTRACT INTERIOR PERMANENT MAGNET MOTOR HAVING ROUNDED TOOTH PROFILE The present invention relates to an interior permanent magnet motor comprising a rotor assembly and a stator assembly. The stator assembly includes a stator core (600) formed by stacking a plurality of laminations, each lamination having a plurality of stator teeth (302, 602) with rotor-facing edges formed as convex, rounded contours (430) free of sharp corners. Adjacent stator tooth (302, 602) are separated by slots (360), and each lamination incorporates an orientation slot (510) on its outer periphery to ensure alignment throughout the stack. The stator core (600) further includes a plurality of weld grooves (540) on the outer circumference, each configured to receive welds that permanently join the stacked laminations without extending radially inward beyond a defined boundary. The construction enables precise assembly, consistent tooth profile geometry, and robust structural integrity in the assembled stator core (600)
