MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641060222 A) filed by Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute Of Technology on May 12, 2026, for Interactive Robot With Speech Recognition And Realistic Simulation.
Inventors include Hemalatha Javvaji; and Vemulapalli Harika.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: This invention presents the design and implementation of a Interactive Robot with Speech Recognition and Realistic Simulation using a Raspberry Pi embedded controller. The system enables hands-free operation by processing human speech commands captured through a microphone and converting them into text using speech recognition algorithms. The Raspberry Pi analyzes the recognized commands and generates control signals to drive DC motors via an L298N motor driver module, thereby enabling directional movements such as forward, backward, left, right, and stop. To ensure safe navigation, an ultrasonic sensor (HC-SR04) is integrated for real-time obstacle detection, allowing the robot to automatically halt when an obstruction is encountered. The invention demonstrates the effective integration of speech processing, embedded systems, and robotics, offering a low-cost, user-friendly, and scalable solution. Potential applications include assistive technology for disabled persons, home automation. surveillance, industrial automation, and smart wheelchairs. The system can be further enhanced with camera vision, loT connectivity, and artificial intelligence to evolve into a fully autonomous intelligent robot
