Abstract: FORM 2 ABSTRACT Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental condition that affects communication, social interaction, and emotional understanding in children. Traditional therapy methods, while beneficial, often lack engagement and adaptability, which can limit the effectiveness of learning. This project proposes the development of an Al and AR-based interactive therapy system designed to enhance communication and social skills in children with autism. The system utilizes a camera and sensors to capture real-time inputs such as facial expressions, voice, and behavioral responses. These inputs are processed using Artificial Intelligence algorithms to detect emotions and analyze patterns, enabling personalized therapy sessions tailored to individual needs. Augmented Reality is integrated into the system to provide immersive and interactive visual elements, such as animated facial expressions and real-life scenarios, which help children better understand emotions and social cues. This interactive approach increases engagement, making therapy sessions more enjoyable and effective. The system also provides real-time feedback and reinforcement, encouraging active participation and continuous improvement. Additionally, it maintains a record of user performance, allowing therapists and caregivers to monitor progress over time. The proposed solution offers a userfriendly, cost-effective, and scalable platform that can be used in both clinical and home environments. By combining AT and AR technologies, this project aims to revolutionize traditional therapy methods and provide a more engaging and personalized learning experience for children with autism.
