The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: A wearable posture monitoring system incorporating dual inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors and a vibration feedback mechanism is disclosed. The system includes two IMU sensors positioned at the cervical and lumbar regions of the user to continuously monitor body orientation. A microcontroller processes orientation data obtained from the sensors and determines posture deviations based on predefined ergonomic thresholds. When improper posture is detected, a vibration motor generates tactile feedback to alert the user and encourage immediate posture correction. The proposed system enables real-time posture monitoring, improves spinal alignment awareness, and reduces the risk of posture-related musculoskeletal disorders. The compact and wearable design makes the device suitable for continuous use in workplaces, educational environments, and healthcare applications.
