MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611087151 A) filed by Uttaranchal University on July 16, 2026, for Intelligent Wearable Computing System For Real-Time Assessment And Prediction Of Stress, Anxiety, And Depression In Transgender Individuals.

Inventors include Yashika; Yashita; and Rahul Mahala.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: An intelligent wearable computing system for real-time assessment and prediction of stress, anxiety, and depression in transgender individuals comprises a network of smart numeric sensory data collector devices (20) wirelessly tied to a remote central cloud server (40) executing a data set formation module, and a machine learning inference engine (80) running a pre-trained machine learning model to calculate longitudinal mental health risk scores. Each wearable device features a computing unit (21) operably coupled to a Photoplethysmography [PPG] sensor (29), an Electrocardiogram [ECG] sensor (30), a Galvanic Skin Response [GSR] sensor (31), a GPS module (32), a skin temperature sensor (33), and an accelerometer (34). The computing unit (21) utilizes a real-time clock [RTC] module (26) to timestamp incoming readings, structures data packets, buffers information locally on an SD card module (24) to prevent network-loss data gaps, and establishes an encrypted connection via a Wi-Fi modem module (25) to forward data to the cloud server (40). Each node is powered by a rechargeable battery (28) with a USB Type-C charging port (27) managed by a power supply controller (23) capable of adaptive sensor duty cycling. Preprocessed, fused multi-sensor data streams are evaluated by the machine learning inference engine (80) against personalized baseline profiles to track stress, anxiety, and depression tendencies, updating a user dashboard and dispatching automated digital warnings to an attached mobile application when specific risk thresholds are exceeded.
