Abstract: Intelligent Vehicle Speed Control System for Sensitive Zones is an intelligent road safety project that helps vehicles automatically reduce speed in critical areas. The system uses a Raspberry Pi as the main controller, along with a camera for traffic sign detection, ultrasonic sensor for obstacle detection, accelerometer sensor for accident detection, Bluetooth sensor for communication, and ThingSpeak server for data monitoring. The camera captures road sign images, and image processing algorithms detect speed-limit signs or sensitive zone indicators. Based on the detected sign, the Raspberry Pi generates control signals to reduce or regulate the vehicle speed using PWM motor control. The system can also send accident-related information such as photo and location to the server. This project helps prevent accidents, improves driver awareness, and provides a smart solution for modern intelligent transportation systems.
